Crypto exchange KuCoin’s venture capital arm and non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace have launched a $100 million “Creators Fund” to support early-stage non-fungible token (NFT) projects. In addition, the fund will also invite 99 NFT creators to join the Windvane NFT marketplace, a new decentralized NFT marketplace powered by KuCoin. Windvane supports mainstream NFT blockchains, allowing everyone to select all NFTs on KuCoin cross-chain NFT aggregator. KuCoin Creators Fund is a joint venture between Windvane and the exchange’s venture capital arm, KuCoin Ventures. NFTs of interest include arts, sports, profile pictures (PFPs), Asian culture, celebrities, and GameFi, according to the press release. Launched in 2017, KuCoin reached 10 million registered users at the end of the last year and currently has a daily trading volume of about $2.2 billion, according data from CoinGecko.
