Web3 startup Afterparty has raised $4 million to launch an NFT-based ticketing platform while accumulating $7 million in total funding since launching in August 2020. The funding round attracted investments from 25 entrepreneurs, creators, and venture capital firms, including angel investors like Paris Hilton and Jason Calacanis and VC firms like Blockchange. Existing investors Acrew Capital, and TenOneTen Ventures Afterparty’s leading seed investors also participated. Afterparty trailed its NFT ticketing technology in Las Vegas last month in what it calls “the first NFT-gated festival ever” meaning no one can reach it unless they’re using Afterparty’s utopian NFTs. Reportedly, more than 6,000 people attended the event. The music festival was headlined by The Chainsmokers and rapper The Kid Laroi with performances from Sofi Tukker, Tokimonsta, Bob Moses among others. The NFT tickets, known as the Utopians collection, were minted on Ethereum and already boasts a number of celebrity holders, such as Heidi Klum, Josh Duhamel, Sia, and influencers David Dobrik, Loren Gray and Bryce Hall. The post NFT Ticketing Platform AfterParty Raises $4M in Seed Funding first appeared on Cryptoknowmics-Crypto News and Media Platform. The post NFT Ticketing Platform AfterParty Raises $4M in Seed Funding appeared first on Cryptoknowmics-Crypto News and Media Platform.
