Blockware Solutions, an infrastructure provider for blockchain technologies, released a new report that took 6 months in the making, detailing the adoption pattern of the flagship cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC). Blockware Reveals Adoption Rate for BTC In a report titled ‘Bitcoin User Adoption’, Blockware Solutions predicted that the global Bitcoin adoption is likely to hit 10% of the world’s population by the year 2030. Blockware said it arrived at this forecast by applying the historic S-Curve adoption pattern of technology and on-chain entity metrics. This includes automobiles, electric power, smartphones, the internet, and social media, along with the growth rate of Bitcoin adoption since 2009. Of those metrics, the company calculated a weighted average-60%, denoting 20% to each for- Internet, Smartphones, and Social Media.
