Solana Labs’ subsidiary Solana Mobile announced Thursday the launch of an Android smartphone ‘Saga’, built specifically with Web3 in mind. The phone will come integrated with the Solana blockchain network. Solana to Launch Android Smartphone At a keynote event in New York City, Solana Labs CEO Anatoly Yakovenko disclosed the Solana Saga smartphone. Designed to make cryptocurrency trading easier, the 6.67-inch Android phone will launch in the first quarter of 2023 for $1,000. Interestingly, the Solana Saga is a rebrand of OSOM’s OV1, built by a team consisting of former engineers and designers from Essential. The privacy-focused OV1 was slated to hit the market by the end of the year but now the two companies collaborated to create a rebrand of the same with a focus on Web3.
